M. K. Binodini Devi

Indian novelist, short story writer, playwright, lyricist

Maharaj Kumari Binodini Devi was an Indian writer, lyricist and Novelist. She was born on 6th February 1922 and a member of the royal family of Manipur. She published books under the name Binodini. She is best known for her 1976 novel Boro Saheb Ongbi Sanatombi. In 2014, she was conferred the Best Story award at the 9th Manipur State Film Awards for the movie Nangna Kappa Pakchade. The award was given posthumously. She left for heavenly abode on 17th January 2011.
