58 Years old Jarjum Ete, has dedicated her life for the society and working for development of woman in her state. She have worked on child marriage, and have openly challenged patriarchy. “I don’t have time to wait. In the coming five years, I want to do something for my state.”- She told this while taking resignation from All India Mahila Congress in 2021. She belongs to the Galo tribe of Arunachal Pradesh. Jarjum herself has very strong views on legalisation of prostitution. She was one of the participants to the Beijing Conference and has also visited Pakistan and other countries.
