Basil

Basil is a culinary herb and indigenous to Punjab and Himachal Pradesh and cultivated all over India. Basil is also known as Tulsi and is the ‘Queen of Herbs’. The plant is richly endowed with bio available antioxidants, vitamins A and C and calcium. The major types of basil are, Indian Basil, Egyptian Basil, French Basil and American Basil.
