Egg Production

India ranks 3rd in egg production in the world. Andhra Pradesh is the largest egg producer in the country contributing 19% of the total production. To produce more amount of meat and egg, improved breeds or crossbreeds are introduced. In Assam, Bonaigaon and Goalpara district produces Layer poultry eggs for breeding in huge amount and is the largest in entire north-east. Recently, the Covid 19 Pandemic has already proved a lot the importance of eggs and the need of its production in larger amount. After this pandemic hit, many vegetarians have also started eating eggs to keep self safe and immune. Production and consumption of both egg and meat are in very huge demand in the country and thus it also brings huge profit to the Indian farmers.
