Radiology is a branch of medicine that uses imaging technology to diagnose and treat disease. Radiology may be divided into two different areas, diagnostic radiology and interventional radiology. Also known as Radiographer, Radiologic Technologist are healthcare professionals who specialize in medical imaging techniques, such as x-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, positron emission tomography (PET) and ultrasound for creating images of human anatomy for diagnosis and treatment of pathology.
