Angom Anita Chanu is an Indian judoka won hearts and her bronze medal at the Asian Judo Championship in Bangkok in 2013 by defeating Olessya Kutsenko of Kazakhstan. Later she also has won gold for India in the 8th South Asian Judo Championship in Nepal. A veteran of women's weightlifting in India, Chanu is currently a popular trainer of the state and hopes to train more women to follow in her footsteps.
